General Secretariat of Transitional Council praises mass demonstrations that support Self-Administration of the South

The General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council held on Monday, its periodic meeting in the capital Aden, headed by Mr. Fadl Mohammad Al-Jaadi, the Assistant Secretary-General.

In a brief speech, Al-Jaadi saluted in the meeting the local leaderships of the Council in the southern governorates and the masses of the people one by one for the participation and organization of the mass events in the Southern governorates, stressing that the masses who spontaneously participated despite the need of the people and their suffering, reflected the level of mature popular awareness that exceeded perceptions.

Al-Jaadi pointed out that the southern people conveyed a message to everyone expressing their convictions in the southern goals and principles and their adherence clearly to the Transitional Council and its decisions, noting that this popular expression reinforces and affirms the position of the delegation of the Transitional Council in Riyadh towards the people of the South and the representation of their cause.

The meeting discussed the latest developments on the national scene, foremost of which are the popular demonstrations in Hadramout, Al-Hawtah, and Tor Al-Baha in Lahj governorate, and Lawdar in Abyan governorate, and in this regard, the meeting saluted the large masses that participated in those mass demonstrations.

The meeting praised the national positions of the people of the south in supporting the southern decisions, foremost of which is the decision of self-administration and the representation of the Transitional Council for the southern issue, pointing out that this represents a popular referendum to local, regional, and international public opinion, that the issue of the people of the south is represented and led by the Transitional Council.

The meeting thanked all those who participated and contributed to the success of the mass events and demonstrations in the south, and in particular the media people who showed the truth of the popular movement in the south and disproved the falsehood of what is presented by the media opposing the people of the South and their cause.

The meeting touched on the file of services and the latest developments in the services situation, especially in the electricity sector, with renewable problems in it, and proposed treatments, and efforts made by self-administration in this regard.

The meeting reviewed the report of the political scene submitted by the political department on the most important political events and developments, in addition to the reports of achievement and the weekly activities of the departments of the General Secretariat.

The meeting also discussed the latest developments at local, regional and international levels, and also reviewed and approved the minutes of its previous meeting.
