The Southern Transitional Council’s Foreign Relations Department Held its First Consultative Meeting in Britain

The first consultative meeting of the Foreign Relations Department of theSouthern Transition Council was held today in the United Kingdom  headed by Aidros Alnaqeeb . Mr Alnaqeeb met with a number of the southerners from around the United Kingdom who came to attend the meeting in Sheffield South Yorkshire in commemoration of the celebrations of the 54th anniversary of the 14th of October revolution. The meeting is the first of a number of meetings and visits which the STC will carry out around Europe in the near future .

Alnaqeeb  commenced his meeting with congratulating the people of the south on the anniversary of the 14th of October revolution he then  pointed to  the southern Transitional Council’s  directions to work  externally and the need to unite the efforts of southerners abroad so they can be capable of delivering  their case to the  decision makers as well as to  influence the international community and the  international resolutions makers  in favor of the South and the southern issue.

Subsequently, an open discussion was held among southerners in Britain on various issues affecting the life of the southern people .

 At the end of the consultative meeting the participants issued a statement in which it concluded as follows :

 To commemorate the fifty-fourth anniversary of the glorious revolution of the 14th October and for the STC to announce its coordinating body in Europe.

The attendees welcomed the true patriot efforts of the southern people who worked in unison and cohesion to reach their goals as a  result of that, the formation of the Southern Transitional Council has emerged .

Participants also stressed the importance to work abroad through creating and benefiting from relations with political decision makers in friendly countries, and the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland as well as all European countries

The attendants also proposed that the Foreign Relations Department should choose an appropriate mechanism to put together the STC’s coordinating bodies in the countriesto be representatives of the STC  in those  countries. The participants also called on the Southern Transitional Council to raise the  overseas representation  structure to 30% of the members .

The participants praised the great role played by the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia and U.A.E. for their military and moral and material support in facing the  aggressive forces of  the Persian expansion. Expressing deep gratitude and appreciation for the brothers in the U.A.E. and their support in various areas of defense ,security and relief, stressing that the blood of the martyrs ,the Saudis and Emiratis in facing the Houthi /Saleh  aggression will not go in vain and that all  was for a  just cause and will remain throughout history.

The attendees Confirmed to restore the South's right to build an independent State which should not be based on aggression and that to return to the pre unity situation in 1990 does not necessarily require the hostility and conflict between the two peoples in the Yemen Arab Republic and the Southern state .

Members of the meeting  called for the official authorities in the United Kingdom to support the struggles of southern people in restoring its historic position because the  United Kingdom is one of the permanent members of the UN Security Council and South Yemen was once a British colony .
