The President of the Southern Transitional Council, Aidaroos Qasim Al-Zubaidi, met on Sunday the French Ambassador to Yemen, Christian Tisto.
The meeting discussed a number of files related to the political, military and economic situation in the South, and in particular in Shabwa and Al-Dhalea provinces, in addition to discussing the updates on the political process and the efforts of the United Nations to resolve the situation and stop the war and reach a comprehensive political settlement.
The President of the Southern Transitional Council, stressed on the firm position of the Transitional Council towards the support of the Arab Coalition, by standing by them, besides combating terrorism, and the active contribution in the peace process in a way that guarantees the rights of southerners in full through their participation in the upcoming negotiations.
President Al-Zubaidi praised the efforts of the French Republic and its keenness to establish peace in the region, stressing that the French interests in our country have great priority, calling on the French government to take a positive and progressive attitude towards the justice for the southern people and their right to determine their political future.
For his part, the French ambassador expressed his pleasure for this meeting and his appreciation for the positions of the Southern Transitional Council and its ability to deal with the various situations and files with rationality, pointing out that there is a new political stage that must accommodate the current changes.
