STC Secretary-General Chairs Special Joint Meeting with Presidential Oversight Teams and Heads of Governorate Executive Bodies

Mr. Abdulrahman Jalal Shaher, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), chaired a special joint meeting on Monday morning with presidential steering and monitoring teams, heads of local leadership executive bodies (LLEBs) in the governorates of the South, and university coordinators to follow up on accelerating the implementation of the organizational restructuring program and reforms within established timelines and criteria.

The meeting reviewed progress in finalizing operational plans for central/local bodies and university coordinators to enhance administrative governance and institutional efficiency.

During the meeting, Mr. Mohammed Al-Ghaithi, a member of the STC's Presidium, outlined the Secretariat’s new organizational framework, and clearly detailed regulatory mandates and operational controls for the workflow of the bodies and oversight teams, while stressing strict compliance with administrative regulations to achieve the determined goals of the restructuring process.

The meeting examined the work plan of the presidential oversight teams in the governorates, task distribution mechanisms, field deployment schedules, and reporting protocols for monitoring teams to uphold transparency and accurate assessment of implementation progress.

Likewise, the meeting discussed mechanisms of coordination and institutional collaboration between the central bodies in the General Secretariat and the LLEBs in the governorates, in addition to the university coordinators, to optimize field programs for the presidential oversight teams and the achievement of the goals.

In a related context, the meeting touched on the latest developments in the Coast and Valley of Hadramout, reaffirming the STC's support for citizens and their right to peacefully protest to express their rejection of the deteriorating living conditions, while calling on the authorities to quickly release detainees who have not been proven to be involved in any acts of sabotage against private or public interests.

Furthermore, Secretary-General Shaher praised the Southern Armed Forces’ high readiness in countering terrorist threats and Houthi militia aggression across governorates of the South and stressed continued efforts to maintain national security and stability.

The meeting concluded with a set of recommendations centered on expediting the completion of the organizational restructuring, intensifying field monitoring visits, and enhancing effective coordination among the bodies to advance the STC's supreme national goals.
