Al-Kathiri Lauds HEF Role and Calls Seiyun Consultative Meeting: A Landmark in Modern Hadhramaut History

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), attended on Wednesday the expanded consultative meeting organised by the Hadhramaut Tribal Alliance at Al-Zain Hall in Seiyun city, which was attended by a number of officials, dignitaries, sheikhs, and notables from various areas of the governorate, held under the slogan "The Hadrami Elite Force (HEF) is Hadhramaut's Safety Valve."

In his speech, Mr. Al-Kathiri conveyed the greetings of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the STC President, and stated that the timing of this meeting represents a landmark in modern Hadhramaut's history, reaffirming that this gathering reflects the active presence of Hadhramaut's people in shaping the present and future of their governorate.

He noted that Hadhramaut Valley is now in the hands of its people, following public demands for its liberation from elements of the First Military Region, and highlighted that the presence of Southern Armed Forces in the Valley is to safeguard it from those elements, which undermined its security and stability, and not for the purpose of sabotage or aggression.

Al-Kathiri called for greater popular support for the HEF and the Southern Armed Forces to preserve the gains achieved through the ultimate sacrifices of Hadhramaut's people, emphasising that the elite represents the governorate's safety valve.

For his part, Sheikh Khaled Mohammed Al-Kathiri, head of the Hadhramaut Tribal Alliance, underlined the importance of solidarity and cohesiveness among all segments of Hadhrami society and indicated that Hadhramaut is going through a critical phase that requires safeguarding the accomplishments that have been achieved.

The meeting included several speeches and poetic verses expressing support for the HEF and its role in bolstering security and stability in Hadhramaut Valley.
