President Al-Zubaidi Meets Croatia's Foreign Minister

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), held a bilateral meeting on Tuesday evening with Mr. Gordan Grlić Radman, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia. The meeting took place on the sidelines of his participation in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York City.

The meeting reviewed bilateral relations with the Republic of Croatia and ways to enhance economic and investment cooperation in vital fields such as health, education, and fisheries, in addition to building the capacities of financial and administrative staff within government institutions.

The meeting also explored the potential for benefiting from the experience of the Republic of Croatia in achieving national independence, exchanging expertise in rehabilitating war-damaged infrastructure, and leveraging its experience in economic recovery.

For his part, the Croatian Foreign Minister expressed his government's readiness to provide its available expertise and capabilities to support our country in various developmental fields and praised the historic ties between the two friendly peoples, highlighting the importance of bolstering partnership in trade and investment to achieve sustainable development that serves the interests of both countries.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Nasser Al-Khubbaji, Member of the STC Presidium and Member of the Consultation and Reconciliation Commission (CRC) supporting the PLC; Mohammed Al-Ghaithi, Member of the STC Presidium and Head of the CRC; Dr. Saleh Mohsen Al-Haj, Head of the General Authority of Foreign Affairs of the STC; and Emad Mohammed, Director of the Office of the Vice Chairman of the PLC.
