Al-Muharrami Reviews Administrative Reforms of Civil Service and Insurance Ministry

Mr. Abdul Rahman Abu Zara'a Al-Muharami, Deputy President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), was briefed on Sunday by the Minister of Civil Service and Insurance, Dr. Abdulnaser Al-Wali, on the ministry's efforts in implementing administrative reforms at the central and local levels, correcting job imbalances, and developing the organizational structure of the state's administrative apparatus.

During the meeting in the capital, Aden, the two sides discussed ways to enhance the efficiency of state institutions, promote the work of the administrative apparatus, evaluate the institutional performance of public service offices, and verify the efficient and effective delivery of their services.

Dr. Al-Wali provided a detailed overview of completed work on employees' allowances and financial settlements, prioritizing the education, health, and university staff, given their workforce size and critical role, affirming the ministry's commitment to continue its efforts to achieve justice for all employees in accordance with proper legal and administrative procedures followed.

In this context, Mr. Al-Muharrami gave directives to expedite the release of annual allowances and settlements for employees in education, healthcare, and university staff; stressed the importance of working on completing allowances and settlements for the other sectors and moving forward in eliminating dual employment; and directed the ministry to work in close coordination with the relevant ministries and authorities to implement all planned administrative reforms.

The meeting discussed the possibility of paying the rights of those who were forcibly dismissed and laid off in the civil sector over the past years and the efforts made to return them to the civil service payrolls, highlighting the importance of addressing this file in an equitable and comprehensive manner in coordination with the relevant ministries, ensuring the restoration of the rights of this category, ensuring their livelihood stability, and upholding the principles of justice within the state administrative apparatus.
