Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, has honored today, Friday, at the STC’s headquarters in the capital, Aden, a Kuwaiti medical team affiliated with the Elaaf Charity Association (ECA), led by Dr. Saud Al-Hajiri.
On behalf of President Aidrous Al-Zubairi, President of the STC, Mr. Al-Kathiri expressed deep thanks and gratitude to the ECA and the visiting medical team, praising the great success of the free cancer surgery camp, which was organized in partnership with the Ithra Foundation at the Modern American Hospital in the capital, Aden, under the generous patronage of President Al-Zubaidi and brought together an elite of Arabs and surgeons of the South led by Dr. Mohammed al-Jasmi.
Mr. Al-Kathiri praised the unlimited fraternal and humanitarian support provided by the brotherly state of Kuwait in various relief and development fields.
Al-Kathiri affirmed that the surgical camp has successfully alleviated the suffering of dozens of cancer patients, had a significant positive psychological and social impact on both patients and their families, and drawn smiles and inspired hope to those who had lost it amidst the humanitarian crisis facing the country.
The honoring ceremony was attended by Mr. Imad Mohammed, Director of the Office of the Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC).
