Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, met today, Sunday, with the Committee for mediating and resolving feud cases in Al-Had District, Yafe'a, formed by President Aidarous Qasim Al-Zubaidi, Chairman of the Council, in Decree No. 24 issued recently, headed by Ali Mohammad Bibak. Al-Bakri.
At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by Nasr Harhara, Rapporteur of the Assembly, Mr. Al-Kathiri extended a warm welcome to the committee's head and members and underscored the significant role and weighty responsibility entrusted to the committee in resolving tribal vendettas in Al-Had Yafe'a District and fostering peace and social security.
During the meeting, the committee briefed Al-Kathiri on their ongoing efforts, outlining the steps they have taken in coordination with the concerned authorities to mediate disputes and reconcile feuding tribes to stand responsibly in the face of revenge issues and to present proposals and mechanisms to resolve them.
Al-Kathiri emphasized the STC's commitment to harnessing all resources and directing local, security, and military leaders to facilitate the committee's work and provide a conducive environment for the completion of its assigned tasks, aiming to preserve the cohesiveness among residents of the district, prevent bloodshed, enhance community security and stability, and solidify the border front.
At the end of the meeting, the Chairman of the Assembly also emphasized the importance of concerted efforts, both official and popular, to renounce vendettas and societal ills that are alien to southern society, raising awareness campaigns to reinforce the values of fraternity, tolerance, and understanding among the people of the South to preserve security, stability, and social peace.
