Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, headed an extensive consultative meeting today, Monday, for the leaders of the STC in the capital, Aden.
In the meeting which was attended by members of the STC's Presidium: Mr. Moamen Al-Saqqaf, a member of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and head of the Local Leadership Executive Body (LLEB) of the STC in the capital, Aden, Mr. Abdul-Raouf Zain al-Saqqaf, and Mr. Issam Abdo, Deputy Chairman of the National Assembly, as well as Mr. Ahmed al-Rabizi, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Advisors, and heads of the auxiliary bodies of the STC's Presidium, Mr. Ali Al-Kathiri delivered a speech in his opening of which he conveyed the greetings of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC, and his directives to achieve cohesiveness in light of the current circumstances facing the capital, Aden, in particular and the South in general, and to effectively bolster joint efforts among all STC leaderships to confront the present challenges.
During the meeting, which brought together members of the two administrative bodies of the National Assembly and the Council of Advisors, heads of departments of the General Secretariat, and members of the Local Leadership Executive Bodies in the capital, Aden, and its districts, as well as representatives from the STC's Coordination Bodies at the University of Aden, the Acting President of the STC underscored "the shared responsibility of all as everyone should positively be active with a geniune role to play in upholding the cause of the people of the South, clarifying the facts, and raising awareness among our people about the conspiracies, plots, and malicious campaigns targeting their national cause."
Mr. Al-Kathiri added, "We are fully aware of the immense hardship that has befallen us; the unrelenting struggles our people endure are merely the tax of unwavering commitment to our cause, the very cause for which our best sons and daughters have ultimately sacrificed their precious souls and for which our people have been making huge sacrifices."
In the context of his speech, Al-Kathiri briefed those present on the latest political developments related to the cause of the people of the South, reaffirming the firm position of the STC announced in all its previous statements in this regard, as well as its full adherence to what President Al-Zubaidi put forward during his meetings with the UN envoy and the ambassadors of the countries sponsoring the political process, stressing in the context that "the cause of the South is non-negotiable and that any political settlement that attempts to bypass the South and its people's aspirations is doomed to fail."
He reiterated the STC's close attention to the case of Lieutenant Colonel Ali Ashaal al-Jadaani and confirmed that President Al-Zubaidi has formed several committees to follow up on the developments, and the case is now with the Public Prosecutor's Office for legal action, including investigation, interrogation of suspects, and gathering evidence to uncover the circumstances of the crime, apprehend the fugitives involved, and bring them to justice, regardless of their status or position, as no one is above the law.
Similarly, he highly appreciated the family of Lieutenant Colonel Ali Ashaal al-Jadaani and the al-Jadaani tribe for thwarting the futile attempts of hostile forces to exploit the abduction case to harm the South and divide its social fabric, indicating that these forces are trying too hard to tear apart the southern ranks by preoccupying the people of the South with side disputes, igniting discord, zone-based hatred, and toxic driven tribalism, which is their last-ditch effort to disrupt our people's progress and hinder their pursuit of regaining their state.
Mr. al-Saqqaf pointed out that these forces are relentlessly trying to tear apart the southern ranks by distracting the people of the south with internal conflicts and inciting regional and tribal strife. He noted that this is their last resort to disrupt the progress of the people and hinder their pursuit of restoring their state.
Mr. Moamen Al-Saqqaf, a member of the SRC's Presidium and head of the LLEB of the STC in the capital, Aden, stressed the importance of joint coordination among all STC leaders in the capital, Aden, and the executive offices, highlighting the need to activate work mechanisms and strengthen the STC's field presence, pointing out that the South is facing a critical political and economic juncture that requires the concerted efforts of all to dedicatedly maintain peace and stability.
Mr. Abdul-Rauf Zain al-Saqqaf, a member of the STC's Presidium and undersecretary of Aden for Youth Affairs, delivered a brief speech emphasizing the importance of adapting to the current political landscape in the South and lauding the efforts of STC leaders in various bodies in Aden and the South in general to consolidate the foundations of security and stability.
In his concluding remarks, Mr. Ahmed Al-Rabizi, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Advisors, underscored the significance of well-organized political work within the bodies of the STC, working together for the triumph of the cause of the South, and restoring and building their aspired state on all its national territory.
