Al-Awlaqi Chairs Regular Meeting of NSMA

The National Southern Media Authority (NSMA), assisting the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), held its periodic meeting on Monday, headed by Mr. Salem Thabet Al-Awlaqi, head of NSMA and official spokesman of the STC.

The meeting discussed the latest political, military, security, and service developments, with a particular focus on the ongoing political process, referring to the position expressed by President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), calling for peace negotiations to be conducted through the Joint Negotiating Team (JNT) and for them to be empowered to carry out their tasks.

Regarding the repercussions of the abduction of Lieutenant Colonel Ali Ashaal Al-Jaadani, the Authority affirmed that this crime is condemnable by all legal and moral standards, clarifying that the security services, public prosecution, and judicial authorities are responsible for enforcing the law in this case and holding those involved in this crime accountable to receive their deterrent punishment.

NSMA also reviewed a range of tasks, including the preparation of semi-annual progress reports for its sectors. In this respect, the authority took a number of appropriate measures.
