Al-Kathiri Chairs Expanded Meeting to Discuss Overall Situation with GFWUS and Representatives of Military and Security Bodies of the South

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, chaired an expanded meeting of military and security commanders in the capital, Aden, on Sunday.
The meeting was devoted to examining the performance of the security services and military units, the progress of the security campaign, and its results, in addition to discussing mechanisms for enhancing security readiness in the capital, Aden.
The meeting stressed the importance of continuing the security campaign in the capital, Aden, keeping high-paced performance, raising the level of coordination between the security services and military units, and strengthening the field work of military points at the entrances to the capital, Aden, to control any attempts to smuggle contraband, terrorist elements, and those wanted by security services, and to curb all actions that disturb security and stability.
The meeting raised a recommendation to President Aidarous Qassem al-Zoubaidi, President of the STC and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) and head of the Higher Committee for local and sovereign revenues, to direct the government to reduce the customs duties on cars and vehicles for a specific period, to encourage citizens to afford paying customs fees on their vehicles, and to get number plates in Aden and all governorates of the South.
The meeting touched on the role of community committees and social figures in supporting and assisting the efforts of the security and military services in consolidating security and stability and maintaining public tranquillity in all the districts.
The meeting highly appreciated the cooperation of the leadership of the STC, led by President al-Zoubaidi, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, and its incessant support for all security and military efforts, as well as enhancing the work of security services and military units in the capital, Aden, and neighbouring governorates so that they can perform their tasks with all efficiency and ability.
