Bin Brik Gets Briefed by Al-Subaihi on Obstacles to Collecting General Government Revenues

Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, met today, Wednesday, with Mr. Nazir Abdul-Karim Al-Subaihi, Director General of Senior Taxpayers at the Tax Authority.

In the meeting, they discussed the obstacles that stand in the way of general government revenues, the tax procedures, and the facilities granted to investment projects under the applicable tax laws and regulations.

The meeting, too, touched on the mechanism of joint coordination between the local and central authorities regarding the collection of local, joint, and sovereign revenues.

Major General Bin Brik stressed the importance of making more efforts and whetting enthusiasm to promote the collection and drying of resources for the coup militias.
