Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, met on Thursday with Dr. Omar Qassem Saleh Turki, Head of the National Association of Emergency and Disaster Medicine.
In the meeting, which was attended by Dr. Salma Bazari'a, deputy head of the Health and Population Committee of the National Association, Dr. Turki reviewed the Assembly's activities since its establishment in the capital, Aden, and the provided facilities, which is considered one of the important aspects in the health sector.
The meeting, too, touched on discussing the health situation in general in the governorates of the South and the insufficiency of emergency and disaster medicine consultants in certain hospitals.
Major General Bin Brik praised the Assembly's activities and the self-efforts made by its administration and staff to improve the health situation in governorates of the South. In this respect, Major General Bin Brik gave directives to expand the Association's work and activities by establishing a main center in Hadramout that includes the rest of the governorates of the South, as well as assessing the health situation there and the facilities that can be provided to improve the health facilities.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdul-Qader Ahmed, Financial Director and Emergency Consultant, and Dr. Abdul-Fattah Qaed Mussaed, Public Relations Officer of the Association.
