Major General Bin Brik Meets with Head of First Southern Conference Executive Body (Cairo Conference)

Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Vice President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, met on Wednesday with Mr. Abdul-Majeed Saeed Wahdin, Head of the Executive Body of the First Southern Conference (Cairo Conference).

At the meeting, Major General Bin Brik welcomed Mr. Wahdin, who in turn congratulated Major General Bin Brik on his appointment as Vice President of the STC, praising the grand success of the southern dialogue, which culminated in holding the consultative meeting and fulfilled unparalleled success that has never been seen in the South in converging the various ideas and visions and reaching southern consensus between all the components that participated and signed the Southern National Charter.

At the same time, he urged the rest of the components to catch up with their southern official brothers in uniting the ranks.

Mr. Wahdin, too, wished all success to the National Assembly in its upcoming sixth session, to be held in Al-Mukalla, and hoped to come out with decisions that support the success of the consultative meeting and promote restructuring within the institutions of the STC.

Furthermore, the meeting discussed the southern cause in particular and the current situation in the entire region in general.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Hisham Mohsen Bahmeed, member of the executive body of the Cairo Conference, and Sheikh Adel Omar Al-Saadi, head of the Cairo Conference in Hadramout Governorate.
