President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, the President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), and the Supreme Commander of the Southen Armed Forces chaired a special meeting of the Presidium of the STC via video conference.
At the meeting, which was attended by the ministers of the STC in the power-sharing government and the military and security commanders of the South, the commander-in-chief assured that the southern military and security forces would be paid two months' salary before the blessed month of Ramadan, asserting that the salaries would be regularly paid after completing the technical arrangements related to organizing the manpower personnel of the units. In the context, commending the legendary steadfastness of the heroes of the Southern Armed Forces and stressing that the leadership of the STC will spare no effort to resolve the situation and ensure that they are going to get their salaries regularly.
The meeting stood before the upcoming visit of President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi and his accompanying team to Moscow, the Russian capital, at an official invitation from the Russian government to the leadership of the STC. In this regard, the president stressed that the visit comes in line with the distinguished historical relations that have existed between our country and the Russian Federation, referring to the openness of the leadership of the STC to various friendly countries to promote the just cause of the people of the South in a way that guarantees reaching a two-state solution to the pre-May 22, 1990 borders and fulfills the aspirations of the people of the South to restore and establish their independent, fully sovereign, federal state.
In a separate context, the meeting discussed the topic of the organizational structure of the STC at the political and military levels and the ongoing preparations for holding the consultative meeting to study the outcomes achieved by the two southern national dialogue teams with the various southern components.
To the end of the meeting, they discussed a range of military, security, and organizational issues related to the work of the various bodies of the STC and took the appropriate measures.
