Lamles chairs the weekly meeting of the General Secretariat and inspects progress of its departments

The Secretary-General of Southern Transitional Council, Ahmed Hamid Lamles, chaired the weekly meeting of the General Secretariat, in presence of heads and representatives of the General Secretariat.In the meeting, the Secretary-General of the Council briefed on the results of the meetings of the Southern Transitional Council's leaders, headed by President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, with a number of UN officials, led by the UN Special Envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffiths.The Secretary-General commended the results of the various meetings of the Council's leaders in Abu Dhabi and Amman, noting the efforts made by the leadership of the Council through intensifying its external political activity to achieve important successes and re-correcting many things, which reflected positively through the noticeable change in the international community's interaction with the Council as a important figure in the political and military equation of the current crisis.Lamles stressed on the importance of intensifying efforts to keep pace with the political and military developments on the southern and Yemeni arenas, and being alert to confront the challenges and conspiracies targeting the south and its cause and existence.During the meeting, the activity of the General Secretariat for the current week discussed by reviewing the reports of the departments and the level of completion for their tasks.The Secretary General inspected the work of the General Secretariat departments offices and listened to a full explanation on the progress of the work and the observations aimed at enhancing and developing the work.Lamles praised the level of discipline of the General Secretariat members, stressing on strengthening their efforts to ensure the success in the implementation of all tasks entrusted to them.
