President Al-Zubaidi meets a number of military leaders, dignitaries and social figures from Abyan governorate

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, met on Sunday, at the headquarters of the Transitional Council in the capital, Aden, a number of military leaders, dignitaries and social figures from Abyan governorate.

At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by Major General Fadl Ba’ash, Commander of the Special Security Forces, the attendees stood for a minute of silence to read Surat Al-Fatihah on the soul of the deceased fighter Brigadier General Sheikh Abdullah Ahmed Al-Hotari, who passed away at dawn on Saturday, in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, in which prayers were held for him and his body was buried in the capital, Aden.

After that, President Al-Zubaidi delivered a speech in which he welcomed all the attendees, praising the great struggle roles of the people of Abyan governorate, as Abyan is the side the South side in the march of the southern liberation struggle, with its national leaders that the governorate gave birth to and who advanced to the front lines to defend the southern homeland against the Houthi aggression and invasion attempts of the Brotherhood, as well as fighting battles to purify the south from terrorist organizations.

After that, President Al-Zubaidi reviewed a number of developments on the southern arena, and the important steps taken by the Southern Transitional Council in moving the issue of the south to international forums and placing it at the forefront of the priority list to resolve the crisis in Yemen.

President Al-Zubaidi stressed the importance and difficulty of the stage the south is going through, pointing out that the current stage needs more southern cohesion and solidarity, and transcending above pain and wounds to move towards broad horizons of fraternity and synergy to achieve the ultimate goal of the people of the south in liberation, independence, restoration, and building the independent federal state of the South that provides a decent life to all its citizens.

In his speech, President Al-Zubaidi also reiterated that the Southern Armed Forces, led by the Transitional Council, already faced, and will face any attempts to restore the activities of terrorist organizations to Abyan, with the aim of mixing papers and bringing the governorate into an endless conflict, stressing that the people of Abyan in particular and the south in general have become today with high degree of awareness of who stands and supports those elements of the forces that openly hostile to the south and its cause.

President Al-Zubaidi pointed out that the battle with terrorism and its supporters is a battle of existence, stressing that the southern armed forces will continue to work with the leadership of the Arab coalition and international forces to dry up all sources of terrorism, eradicate it and eliminate its hotbeds from all areas in which it was planted.

President Al-Zubaidi also confirmed that the Southern Transitional Council pays great attention to Abyan governorate, and the suffering of its people during the past period, noting that the Council will do its utmost to provide the necessary support to the governorate according to what is available, and will also work in coordination with international organizations to direct their support towards the governorate.

After that, President Al-Zubaidi listened to a number of opinions and proposals from the attendees, who thanked President Al-Zubaidi for giving them the opportunity to present the reality of the situation in Abyan and to present the various issues of concern to the citizens in the governorate, affirming their full support for the leadership of the Transitional Council and their full support for any steps it takes, under the leadership of the council towards achieving the aspirations of the people of the south in liberation, independence, restoration, and building of the state of South.
