President Al-Zubaidi chairs meeting of military and security leaders

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, chaired on Saturday, an important meeting of military and security leaders in the capital, Aden.

At the beginning of the meeting, the attendees stood for a minute of mourning for the spirit of the leader of the Southern Resistance, the fighter, Brigadier Abdullah Ahmed Al-Hothary, former head of the executive body of the local leadership of the Transitional Council in Abyan governorate, advisor to the Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Council, who passed away in the Egyptian capital, Cairo .

After that, the meeting discussed the most important issues on its agenda, foremost of which is the results of the field visits to inspect the readiness of the Southern Armed Forces to face threats and upcoming challenges.

The meeting also evaluated the ongoing security campaign in the capital, Aden, aimed at preventing carrying weapons and driving unmarked cars.

The meeting stressed the importance of continuing the security campaign at the same pace in which it began in a manner that serves the objectives of the campaign and enhances the security and stability of the capital, Aden, in particular, and the governorates of the south in general.

The meeting condemned the cowardly act of the Brotherhood militia in Shabwa, by kidnapping the leaders of the Southern Transitional Council of Hadramout when they were returning from the capital, Aden, after participating in the fourth session of the National Assembly of the Council, noting that these practices are a form of war and banditry, and terrorism that is only practiced by outlaw groups.

The meeting stressed not to be silent of these violations, or the continuation of murders, assassinations, and arbitrary arrests committed by the military and security authorities under the control of the Brotherhood militia in Shabwa, or any attempts to empower al-Qaeda and ISIS terrorist organizations in Shabwa governorate.

In conclusion, the meeting stressed the need to raise the level of vigilance and high combat readiness at all levels of the military units of the southern armed forces to defend the gains and achievements of the south, and to confront conspiracies targeting the south and its people, and its national cause represented in restoring its full sovereignty state over all its national borders before May 21, 1990
