Al-Kathiri Hails Concordance Role in Promoting Cohesiveness of the South

Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, lauded the outstanding role of the concordance authority in fostering cohesiveness, converging viewpoints, mending relationships, and preserving the social fabric of Southern society.

This came during his meeting today, Tuesday, with the Secretary-General of the Southern Concordance Authority, Saeed Mohammed Al-Yahri, where he listened to a comprehensive briefing about the helping role and activity of the authority in promoting internal understandings between the various national forces of the South to strengthen the cohesiveness of the Southern ranks.

The Acting President has reiterated the STC's commitment to maintaining open dialogue with all political and societal components of the South. This, he stated, is a well-seated principle of the STC's leadership, aimed at fostering national cohesiveness, mobilising resources, and ultimately realising the aspirations of the people of the South towards the common supreme goal of a fully sovereign federal state of the South.

In a separate context, Al-Kathiri was briefed by Saeed Ismail Al-Quaiti, a member of the Southern community in Chicago, USA, on the activities of communities of the South and their role in conveying the aspirations of the people of the South to the American and international public.
