The STC Acting President Pays Inspection Visit to Special Security Forces in the Capital, Aden


Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, paid an inspection visit on Tuesday to the Special Security Forces (SSF) camp in the capital, Aden.

Upon his arrival at the camp, Mr. Al-Kathiri was received by Major General Fadhl Ba'esh, Commander of the Special Security Forces (Aden, Lahj, Abyan, and Al-Dhalea), officers, non-commissioned officers, members of the Special Security Forces Task Forces, and heads of department in the camp.

The Acting President of the STC toured the camp and its various sections and departments, reviewing the efforts made by the Special Forces Command in the field of training and qualification to polish up the capabilities of personnel and raise their combat readiness.

Al-Kathiri delivered a brief speech to the soldiers and officers, at the beginning of which he conveyed the greetings of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC, supreme commander of the southern armed forces, expressing his happiness and pride to be on the field today with the soldiers side by side, to touch their situation, and to see the high level of readiness enjoyed by the SSP with all its units and battalions in the capital, Aden, and other governorates of the South.

Al-Kathiri urged the command and staff of the special security forces to strengthen military discipline and composure, exert more efforts, join hands, and raise combat readiness to face the current challenges, malicious conspiracies, and criminal schemes against the South, which affect its just cause and the national gains achieved during the long stages of its unrelenting struggle.

Al-Kathiri reiterated the unwavering support of the political leadership of the STC for the Southern Armed Forces and Security Services, including all its units, expressing gratitude for the exemplary leadership of these security and military forces, highlighting their pivotal role in upholding security and stability, and affirming their status as the foremost and most exemplary forces of the South.

In turn, Major General Ba'esh expressed his sincere thanks and deep gratitude for Mr. Ali Al-Kathiri’s visit to the SSF Special Security Forces, reiterating that the command and members of the SSF remain committed to the pledge they made to the political leadership, headed by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC, Supreme Commander of the southern armed forces, who are ready to carry out all the assigned tasks to maintain the security and stability of the South and defend its entirety until the restoration and building of the state of the South on its internationally recognized national soil.
