Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, met today, Monday, with Judge Hassan Yahya Hassan, Chairman of the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, and Judge Basil Nur El-Din, Head of the Fourth Region Military Public Prosecution.
During the meeting, which was attended by Dr. Aboud Naji, Deputy Chairman of the Legislative and Legal Committee in the National Assembly, Judge Mohsen Naji, Acting Military Public Prosecutor for the Fourth Region, and Judge Samir al-Sayyid Mohammad, member of the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, Mr. Al-Kathiri was briefed on the performance of the military judiciary in the liberated governorates and its current work plan.
The meeting also covered a number of pending issues related to the military judiciary, including reasons for the non-activation of the Military Court of Appeals, means of providing the necessary requirements for judicial work, and other issues related to the work of the military judiciary and the enforcement of the law.
At the end of the meeting, Al-Kathiri affirmed that the leadership of the STC, led by President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, attaches great importance to both the civil and military judiciary and is keen on enforcing the law for all. Therefore, he stressed the need to expedite the activation of all military judicial institutions and the settlement of pending cases to ensure justice.
