President Al-Zubaidi Stresses Importance of Training and Qualification Programs for Young Talents to Achieve Sustainable Development


President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), stressed the importance of training and qualification programs for young talents in building a generation capable of contributing to the renaissance of the homeland and achieving sustainable development.

This came during his meeting today, Wednesday, with the Board of Directors (BoD) of the Skills Development Fund (SDF), in the presence of a member of the STC's Presidium and Undersecretary of the Aden Governorate for Youth Affairs, Mr. Abdulraouf Al-Saqqaf. The President was briefed on the most prominent activities of the SDF and the training programs it is currently implementing, which aim to train 5,000 young people, both males and females, from different governorates of the South in various fields.

President Al-Zubaidi also listened to a comprehensive explanation from the BoD of the SDF about the future projects, which aim to expand the scope of its work and diversify its programs and activities, which will contribute to providing the labor market with well-qualified cadres that meet its needs.

The President praised the efforts of the SDF in qualifying young people and enhancing their capabilities, assuring his readiness to provide the appropriate support to the SDF and facilitate access to its financial resources from the revenues of facilities and government sectors as stipulated by law to ensure its continued performance of its tasks.

President Al-Zubaidi called on the BoD to coordinate with the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation to seek external funding sources from international organizations to support the projects, programs, and future plans of the SDF.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Imad Mohammed, Director of the Office of the Vice Chairman of the PLC.
