President Al-Zubaidi Confirms Supporting COCA to Achieve Effective Control Over State Institutions

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zoubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met at his office on Thursday morning with the Head of the Central Organization for Control and Auditing (COCA), Judge Abu Bakr Al-Saqqaf.

The meeting, which was attended by a range of ministers of the STC in the government, discussed ways and mechanisms to enhance the work of the COCA and enable it to achieve effective control of state funds and follow up on the performance of executive authorities at the central and local levels.

President Al-Zubaidi was briefed by Judge Al-Saqqaf on the tasks carried out by the COCA to monitor the progress of performance in government institutions during the past period, the audit reports, and the challenges facing the COCA’s management in performing its tasks and duties.

In this regard, President Al-Zubaidi renewed his full support for the efforts exerted by the COCA to strengthen control over state institutions, affirming his readiness to enforce the implementation of the recommendations issued by the COCA to correct shortcomings, combat corruption, and enforce the rule of law in state institutions.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Baidh, Undersecretary of the COCA, Mr. Mansour Zaid Haidra, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation (PIC), and Mrs. Alawiyah Bin Brik, Director of the COCA branch in the capital, Aden.
