STC's Political Commission Holds Periodic Meeting and Stands Before Political Landscape

The Political Commission (PC), assisting the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), held its periodic meeting on Monday in the capital, Aden, chaired by Dr. Nasser Al-Khubaji, Head of the PC and Head of the Negotiations Unit of the STC.

The meeting reviewed the results of the meetings held by the Head of the PC, Dr. Al-Khubaji, with international delegations and missions, foremost of which was the meeting of President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi with the UN Special Envoy to Yemen, Mr. Hans Grundberg, as well as other political meetings.

The PC focused on a report on the political landscape for the month of August and the political movements undertaken by the STC both at home and abroad, underscoring that there should be zero compromise on the cause of the people of the South, detracting from their national entitlement, or attempting to bypass or exclude it from the path of the comprehensive negotiating process.

During its meeting, the PC discussed the fifty-eighth anniversary of the founding of Aden Television, the first audio-visual edifice of public broadcasting in the Arabian Peninsula, on September 11, 1964, congratulating all the management and employees of the TV channel and demanding the re-opening of this important historical and official media edifice to resume broadcasting from the capital, Aden.

At the end of its meeting, the PC crystallized certain recommendations related to the activities of the commission both at the internal and external levels.
