Al-Khubaji Gets Briefed on HD Centre Efforts in Peace-making Process

Dr. Nasser Al-Khubaji, Head of the Political Commission (PC) and Head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit (NAU) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), received on Monday, in his office in the capital, Aden, a delegation from the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue (HD), which is a Swiss-based organization, led by Mr. Francis Ward, Project Manager, and Ms. Sarah Boukhary, Yemen Project Officer.

Dr. Al-Khubaji listened to Mr. Francis, who gave a satisfied explanation of the activities of HD Centre during the recent period, as well as the goals achieved in working to prevent, mitigate, and resolve conflicts between the conflicting parties, in addition to holding discussions on contentious issues in a way that is beneficial to the parties.

The HD Centre delegation expressed their thanks for the cooperation of the STC and its profound understanding of many issues related to the South, as well as for opening internal and external channels of dialogue.

Dr. Al-Khubaji welcomed the delegation of the HD Centre, appreciating all the efforts that have been exerted in resolving the situation, including political and economic ones, in the South to a large extent, as well as reducing tensions and causes of conflict with the rest of the parties.

Al-Khubaji expressed the firm position of the STC in support of all efforts, including the HD Centre to successfully make peace, end the war, and relieve the suffering of southerners.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Adam Baron, Political Advisor in the HD Centre; Mr. Mohammed Al-Qadhi, Political Advisor in the HD Centre; and Mr. Mazen Mohammed, office director of the Head of the PC and the NAU.
