STC's Presidium Urges Southern Businessmen to Contribute to Food Security

The Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its periodic meeting Today, Monday, chaired by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC.

At the beginning of its meeting, the Presidium stood up a minute in tribute to recite Al-Fatiha for the soul of the heroic martyr, Commander Abdul-Latif Al-Sayyed and his comrades, who were martyred in the battle of confronting terrorist organizations in Abyan Governorate, and commended the heroic epics that the heroes of the Southern Armed Forces have been achieving in confronting terrorism and warding off its threat from the country and the entire region.

The Presidium then listened to a report submitted by the Economic and Service Department of the General Secretariat of the Presidium, which included a monitoring of the latest economic and service developments during the past period and the risks arising from the continuation of the dredging of foreign exchange from the local market. In this regard, the Presidium called on the Central Bank to reconsider its monetary policies and establish policies that create real stability in the value of the local currency through strict controls to maximize the benefit of financial support provided by brothers in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The Presidium also urges Southern businessmen, entrepreneurs, and local investment companies to direct their activities to invest in the Food sector to assist in providing the basic needs of the community and achieve the highest level of food security for citizens.

The meeting touched on a range of topics and issues related to the daily living conditions of citizens and organizational topics related to the work of the various bodies of the STC and took the appropriate measures in this regard.
