STC's of Hadramout Organizes Expanded Meeting of Political Components and Forces in the Governorate

The local leadership executive body (LLEB) of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held on Wednesday an expanded meeting of the political and tribal components and forces, representatives of syndicates, trade unions, civil society organizations, the youth and women sectors, and representatives of students at the faculties of Hadramout University, in the presence of Major General Faraj Salmeen Al-Bahsani, Vice President of the STC, member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), and a member of the STC's Presidium, the official spokesman of the STC, Mr. Ali Al-Kathiri, and the head of the LLEB of the Governorate, Brigadier General Saeed Al-Mohammadi.

Major General Al-Bahsani stressed during the meeting that the cause of the South has become clear to the regional and international community, and the great powers have come to understand the cause of the people of the South. It is important to maintain this level of success in order to fulfill further achievements, indicating that the struggle is still continuing under some difficult circumstances and that mass political actions will definitely have more success in the southern arena.

Al-Bahsani stressed that the political orientation pursued by the Presidium of the STC led by President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi is based on cooperation and coordination with the countries of the Arab coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, expressing his high appreciation for the support provided by the leadership of the Arab coalition to the people of the homeland, the last of which was Generous economic support of $1.2 billion.

The Vice President of the STC called for renouncing violence among the people of the South and not betraying any southern citizen, believing in the cause of the South, and opening the door for discussion and dialogue with everyone to unify the ranks of southerners while taking any position or process when conditions are ripe, pointing out that the southern question is the issue of each southern citizen seeking to regain his land and his identity.

Al-Bahsani touched on the rampant hotbeds of corruption and the people's right to discover these hotbeds, drain their sources, uproot all corrupt officials from their positions, investigate them, and hold them accountable by legal means, stressing the importance of the struggle to help the local authority in Hadramout Governorate to uproot and confront negative phenomena and maintain the cohesiveness of the Hadrami elite forces.

The head of the LLEB of the governorate, Brigadier General Saeed Al-Mohammadi, stated that organizing this expanded meeting comes to take advantage of the presence of the Vice President, Major General Faraj Salmeen Al-Bahsani, in the city of Al-Mukalla, to inform him of developments in the political situation and to draw a map of political action during the upcoming period, after the enemies clashed and hatched conspiracies to bring the situation of citizens in the South to the brink of poverty.

During their interventions, the attendees touched on the need to take decisive steps to combat and fight corruption, to demand that the Hadrami Elite Forces be able to extend their control over securing and protecting all Hadramout districts, to coalesce around the political leadership of the STC and support it to restore the aspired state and achieve the aspirations of the people, and to involve women and youth in leadership positions to participate more in the political process.
