ESC Holds Special Meeting to Focus on Economic and Service Deterioration
The Economic and Service Commission (ESC) of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held a special meeting on Tuesday, chaired by Dr. Mohammad Ali Matash, the head of the Higher Economic Committee.
The meeting focused on economic and service developments, sky-rocketing prices, deterioration of electricity service, and the import of adulterated fuel resulting from government corruption, which caused breakdowns and malfunctions and almost destroyed the remaining generators of electric power plants, accompanied by the emission of hazardous heavy gases that affected people's lives.
The meeting also discussed the draft by-laws of the ESC submitted by the assigned committee, taking into account the raised remarks and required amendments to be adequate for the advisory and executive functions and activities of the commission.
