President Al-Zubaidi Gets Briefed on Workflow of Restructuring Committee and Emphasizes Expediting Task Completion

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), met at his office on Wednesday with the STC's restructuring committee.

At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Chairman of the National Assembly, Mr. Fadhl Al-Gaadi, Deputy Secretary-General, Dr. Nasser Al-Khubaji, Head of the Negotiations Unit, Dr. Saleh Mohsen Al-Hajj, Head of the Internal Southern National Dialogue Team (ISNDT), and Mr. Anis Al-Sharafi, Deputy Director of the General Directorate  of Foreign Affairs (GDFA), the President listened from the head of the Committee, Mr. Mohsen Obeid, and his members, to an explanation of what has been accomplished in the restructuring process like the general structure, statute, by-laws, responsibilities and tasks, in addition to the results of its evaluation process of the ongoing work of the staff.

President Al-Zubaidi praised the immense efforts exerted by the committee from the moment it was assigned and the advanced steps it took to complete the process of structuring the STC and constructing its bodies, underscoring the need to complete the remaining required procedures as soon as possible.

The President reaffirmed that the process of structuring the STC has become an inevitable necessity to keep pace with the developments of the current phase and develop its work, through injecting new young blood capable of giving, strengthening it with well-qualified, highly specialized, and experienced staff, and updating and upgrading its regulations and documents to accommodate the political components wishing to integrate into the framework of the STC as an umbrella for all the people of the South with their various affiliations.

The meeting discussed the criteria and foundations set by the committee for the process of replacing and resourcing the leadership and functional staff of the STC's central and executive bodies in the governorates and districts, foremost of which are the standards of competence, professionalism, educational qualification, age, ability to give, and the mechanisms and merits on which it relied in this aspect.

To the end of the meeting, the President instructed the committee to pay a visit to the National Assembly and meet with its administrative body to discuss the by-laws and regulations that the committee had accomplished during the last period, related to reorganizing the STC’s bodies and the completion of its organizational structure.
