President Al-Zubaidi Underscores Centrality of Southern People's Cause In Upcoming Political Process Map

President  Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Vice-President of the  Presidential Leadership Council (STC), underscored the centrality of the cause of the people of the South in the US-led roadmap to achieve peace in the entire region.


And President Al-Zubaidi said, in a statement to the Saudi newspaper, Al-Sharq Al-Awsat: “We reassure the people of the South in particular that we are moving forward, and that the comprehensive political process will go ahead, and the way forward.


 The map led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates Will settle all the concerns and issues of the homeland, foremost of which is the cause of the people of the South, for which a negotiating framework is established within the framework of the comprehensive negotiations that will take place in the upcoming days, and our right will be negotiated within the framework of the PLC and its negotiating team as a framework that carries the cause of the south as it has a top priority.


President Al-Zubaidi affirmed the integration and harmony among the members of the PLC on the first anniversary of its formation, pointing to the Chairman of the PLC and his deputies, working as one team.


President Al-Zubaidi stressed that the  Council, which constitutes the most important proactive force on the ground, works with the Arab coalition that led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and agrees with them on the next road map for the comprehensive political process.


The Vice-President also made it clear that the peace map and negotiations that will take place in the upcoming days will bear all the concerns and issues of the country, foremost of which is the cause of the people of the South.
He added: «On the occasion of the one year anniversary of the establishment of the PLC, which brings together all the field forces that represent legitimacy before the international and regional countries, we affirm that the Council has taken steps during this year, including positive ones, and accompanied with some negatives, especially in the economic and humanitarian aspects, but we reassure everyone that we are proceeding to achieve our goals on which the Council was founded as a leadership council unit, and we work in a team spirit to achieve all the goals and aspirations of our people, and the PLC will perform the aspired role for which it was established.
