President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), received the delegation of the Fahman Sport Club team participating in the King Salman Cup prior to their lift to play against the Union Sportive Monastir football team in the Arab Football Clubs Championship Cup, which officially bears the name King Salman Club Cup.
At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by two members of the STC's Presidium; Eng. Adnan Al-Kaf, and Mr. Salem Thabet Al-Awlaqi, as well as the head of the Youth and Student Department of the General Secretariat of the Presidium of the STC, Moamen Al-Saqqaf, President Al-Zubaidi warmly welcomed the delegation of the Fahman Sports Club, praising the club’s results and honourable level qualifying for the first round of the tournament, despite the scarcity of resources, facilities, and means, pointing out that this confirms that the South in general, and the Abyan governorate in particular, possess talented athletes in sports capable of competing with their peers from Arab countries and even excelling over them whenever they receive the appropriate support and attention.
President Al-Zubaidi directed the youth and students department in the General Secretariat to find out the needs of the Fahman Club delegation participating in the "King Salman Cup" and to provide them before leaving for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as an incentive to show a level that honours southern football.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Khalid Mohsen Al-Khulaifi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Captain Wajdan Shathly, Director General of the Youth and Sports Office in the capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Al-Saadi, Deputy Yemeni Consul in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Mr. Abdul-Jabbar Salam Saeed, Chairman of the Football Association in the capital, Aden, and Mr. Al-Kuraihi Kana'an, Deputy Head of the Youth and Students Department of the Secretariat.
