The President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), the Deputy of Presidential Leadership Council, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, in his residence in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, on Sunday evening, received Dr. Ahmed Ghaleb Al-Mabaqi, the governor of the Central Bank.
In the meeting, the president Al-Zubaidi was briefed by Dr. Al-Mabaqi on the efforts that have been made by board of directors of the bank to revive the economic situation and solutions to stop currency collapsing, and stabilize foreign exchange rate.
President Al-Zubaidi stressed on importance of collecting and depositing central revenues in its allocated accounts in the Central Bank, rationalizing expenditures, adopting and developing investment opportunities, and working to find a solution to imbalances that have led to accelerated collapse in the currency exchange rate, stressed that the leadership of the Presidential Leadership Council will intensively do whatever they can in this affair to get a quick treatment in the economic aspect, which would alleviate the suffering that has burdened the citizens.
For his part, the governor of the Central Bank offered congratulations to the president Al-Zubaidi on the formation of the Presidential Leadership Council and the success of Riyadh consultations, stressing the readiness of the board of directors of the bank to spend more efforts to treat the imbalances in a way that contributes to stop the collapse of the currency value, providing cash and working to find a cash reserve of foreign currencies that secures stability and consistency in the local market.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Mohammed al-Ghaithi, head of the General Directorate for Foreign Affairs (GDFA) of the STC, Mr. Imad Mohammed, deputy of office director for the President of STC,
