President Al-Zubaidi meets the Ambassador of Russian Federation in Abu Dhabi

The President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, met on Saturday, in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, Mr. Timur Zapirov, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the United Arab Emirates.

The meeting reviewed the strong historical relations between the South and the Russian Federation, and discussed the latest developments in our country and the region, including the peace efforts made by the United Nations with the support of the international community.

The meeting stressed the need to unite and combine all efforts towards finding a comprehensive and just political solution that prioritizes stopping the war, addressing the humanitarian situation, and resolving the issue of the people of the South.

The meeting referred to the latest developments in the region, and the importance of combating terrorism, enhancing security and stability, securing international interests, and maritime shipping lines, Bab al-Mandab Strait and the Gulf of Aden.

For his part, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation expressed his country's support for peace and stability efforts in our country, pointing to the positive role played by the Transitional Council in the same context, and the need for effective involvement of STC within the framework of the inclusiveness of the political process to ensure real solutions and lasting peace.
