Lamlas urges coordinating committee of academically appointed to pursue peaceful methods for its rights

The Secretary-General of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council, Acting President of the Council, Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, received in his office at the General Secretariat, Dr. Ali Mohammad Al-Qahtani, Head of the Coordination Committee for Academically Appointed Persons.

 The Secretary-General listened to a detailed explanation on the problem of academically recruited students at the University of Aden with the university presidency regarding financial benefits.

Al-Qahtani pointed out that about 504 academic delegates from the university complain about the lack of financial arrangement at the university, despite the fact that they hold appointment decisions from the university presidency, among them 112 were issued fatwas from the civil service several years ago, reviewing in the context of the protest activities that the committee intends to implement to demand rights the of its members.

For his part, Lamlas praised the national stance of the leadership and employees of the committee represented in their decision to postpone the general strike in consideration of students and their educational achievement, confirming the standing of the Southern Transitional Council with the appointees at the University of Aden and their efforts to achieve their rights, provided that the educational process does not cause negative repercussions on the future of students.

Lamlas stressed that this position of the Transitional Council applied to all employees in the government sector because it senses the difficult living situation experienced by the government employees, urging at the same time the relevant authorities to assess the efforts of academically recruited at the University of Aden and their large role in the educational process at the university and the need to grant them their full functional and financial rights.

The leadership of the Coordinating Committee of Academically Appointed honored the Secretary-General with a commemorative shield in appreciation of his efforts and his national position on their issues.
