President Al-Zubaidi meets American researchers delegation headed by former Ambassador Gerald Firestein

The President of the Southern Transitional Council, President Aidaroos Qasim Al-Zubaidi, met on Tuesday in Aden the capital the US researchers delegation that includes 18 members of researchers and experts from various research and strategic institutions headed by the former US ambassador to Yemen, Gerald Firestein.

In the meeting President Al-Zubaidi welcomed the American researchers in the southern capital of Aden, expressing happiness for their visit, wishing to be the beginning of more visits and meetings at higher levels.

President Al-Zubaidi conveyed to the US researchers delegation the message of the Transitional Council and the people of the South to the American people and the American leadership to understand the right of the southerners to regain their full sovereign state by the borders of May 21, 1990.

President Al-Zubaidi stressed that the State of the South will be a democratic civil state ruled by the state institutions and will be a serious partner in maintaining security and stability, and combating terrorism.

He pointed out that the Transitional Council is currently a strong and sincere partner with the brothers in the Arab Coalition countries led by Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to face the Iranian expansion project and the Houthi militia, its arm in Yemen.

For his part, Mr. Firestein expressed his pleasure for this meeting with President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi and the leadership of the Transitional Council, promising to convey the message of the Southern Transitional Council to the relevant authorities in the United States, stressing that this visit will not be the last, but there will be similar meetings either in Aden or in Washington to enhance the continuity and strengthening of the relations between the two friendly peoples.
