The STC Presidency Holds its Ordinary Meeting




  Under the chairmanship of the vice president of the Southern Transitional Council  Sheikh Hani Ben Brik, the STC presidency held today its ordinary meeting in the capital Aden.

  The meeting discussed the latest developments on the Southern scene and a number of organizational, administrative and information issues listed on their agenda.
They also reviewed a number of topics including a report on Yemen presented by UN experts to the United Nations Security Council.

  The meeting praised the great stance of the people by the STC leadership. The members of the presidency confirmed their support for the measures taken by The Southern Transition Council, the Southern Resistance and the Arab Coalition to calm the tense situation in the capital Aden. They stressed the need to unmask the rumors spread out by the Muslim Brotherhood's websites and channels within the legitimate government. They emphasized the importance of popular cohesion and solidarity to eliminate that sedition and undermine their objectives.

  The meeting also praised the measures taken by the Southern Trade Union to unite the syndical work in the South, defend the rights and interests of workers and  and organize their work to serve the South's goals towards the restoration of a fully sovereign state.

  The meeting confirmed that the Southern Transitional Council hold on tight to its positions and the 21st  January statement of the Southern Resistance, calling to overthrow the corrupt government, rejecting holding the Yemeni parliament in the capital Aden and the tactics of Ben Dagher's corrupt government that aim to harm peace and social security.
