DMSC Holds Periodic Meeting and Reviews Latest Developments in the South

The Decision-Making Support Center (DMSC) in the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its periodic analytical monitoring meeting for the first half of January on Thursday, chaired by Dr. Khaled Ba-Madhaf, head of the center.

The meeting reviewed the developments in the general southern landscape, the endeavors of the UN envoy, and the ongoing negotiation, praising the steadfastness of the leadership of the STC in the face of pressure and attempts to deal with small-scale projects.

The meeting referred to the impossibility of overrunning the South and overriding its just cause and reiterated its caution against any malicious attempts aimed at weakening the cohesiveness of the South and fragmenting the one southern project.

The meeting affirmed that in the South now both people and leadership are firmly more established and well-qualified in managing the political process and encountering various challenges.

The meeting also discussed a draft monitoring report for the past period to be submitted as recommendations to the STC's political leadership.
