President Al-Zubaidi Gets Briefed on Military-Security Situation in Socotra and Lauds Governorate's Stability

His Excellency President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), praised the state of security and stability prevailing in the Socotra Archipelago governorate.

This came during his meeting on Monday with several senior military and security commanders in the governorate, led by Brigadier Ali Omar Kafayn, Commander of the Socotra Axis and Commander of the First Infantry Brigade; Brigadier Muhsin Al-Jahafi, Commander of the Coastal Defence Brigade; Brigadier Mohammed Ahmed Al-Socotri, Commander of the Third Protection Brigade; and Brigadier Mohammed Ali Al-Deksami, General Director of the Governorate's Security.

During the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi commended the significant efforts exerted by personnel of the security services and military units in maintaining security and enhancing tranquillity among citizens and lauded the state of stability in Socotra, which has successfully transformed the island into a global tourist destination.

The President further stressed the importance of continuing the joint efforts between security services and military units, working with a spirit of responsibility, strengthening security vigilance, and preserving the state of stability in the governorate.

In turn, the security and military leaders reviewed the efforts made in various sectors across the archipelago and affirmed their full readiness to work according to the directives of the political leadership and to continue implementing the national tasks assigned to them to protect national gains on Socotra Island and wherever national duty calls.

The meeting was attended by Maj. Gen. Saif Ali Abu Omar, Office Director of the Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces.
