STC Delegation Meets with Southern Community in New York and Reviews Political and Economic Developments

The delegation of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) currently visiting the United States held a public meeting with members of the Southern community in New York City. The event was attended by Dr. Nasser Al-Khubbaji, a member of the STC Presidium, and Dr. Saleh Mohsen Al-Haj, Head of the Foreign Affairs Authority in the STC General Secretariat, alongside the Southern community coordinators in the United States, Dr. Saleh Al-Hakam and Mr. Al-Khidr Al-Sulaimani.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Al-Khidr Al-Sulaimani delivered welcome remarks, emphasizing the importance of continuous communication between the homeland and the diaspora. He indicated that such gatherings represent a solid bridge that reinforces national bonds and bolsters the aspirations of the people of the South for a better future.

For his part, Dr. Nasser Al-Khubbaji reviewed the latest political developments, affirming the STC's commitment to advancing stability and safeguarding the rights of the people of the South in various international forums.

Dr. Saleh Al-Haj also provided a comprehensive historical and analytical overview of the cause of the South and the immense sacrifices of its people. He reinforced that the Transitional Council is striving for a just and lasting solution that guarantees the South's independence and full sovereignty over its land and resources.

The STC delegation also discussed the major economic challenges facing the South, foremost among them the absence of sustainable development projects and the accumulation of financial and living crises. They emphasized the necessity of activating the role of the international community and regional institutions in economically supporting the South to promote stability and development.

The meeting witnessed extensive interaction and engagement from Southern community members in diaspora, who pledged their full support for the STC's efforts and affirmed their readiness to contribute to amplifying the voice of the just cause of the people of the South in international forums and to enhance coordination between the diaspora and the leadership of the South, reaffirming that Southern cohesiveness and rapprochement are the fundamental pillars for confronting all challenges.
