Mr. Abdul Rahman Abu Zara'a Al-Muharrami, Deputy President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met on Saturday with Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Mohsen al-Da'eri to discuss the latest military developments amid ongoing attacks by the terrorist Houthi militia on international shipping lanes, threatening global security and maritime freedom.
Mr. Al-Muharrami listened to a comprehensive briefing from Al-Da'eri on the current military situation across various fronts, the combat readiness of the armed forces, and the ministry’s efforts to enhance army personnel efficiency through specialized military training and qualification programs in military educational institutions.
The meeting outlined key priorities for the next phase, including ways to develop the armed forces' defensive and logistical capabilities to meet field challenges and ensure disciplined, effective mission execution within a national vision aimed at unifying field operations and improving coordination among military units.
Al-Muharrami was also briefed on the work of the ministerial committee tasked with coordinating with relevant authorities to secure the free movement of goods among governorates, including the stable delivery of fuel supplies to the capital, Aden, to ensure the improvement of basic services for citizens.
At the end of the meeting, Al-Muharrami stressed the urgent need to enhance operational coordination between the Defense Ministry and relevant bodies to counter current threats and safeguard national gains achieved through the immense ultimate sacrifices of armed forces' heroes on all battlefields and frontlines.
