The Administrative Body of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its regular meeting on Wednesday, headed by Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Chairman of the National Assembly and Acting President of the STC.
The meeting discussed a range of recent developments in the Southern arena, highlighting the field visits undertaken by Contact and Bolstering Political Awareness Teams, as directed by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the STC, to conduct on-the-ground assessments across the governorates of the South to strengthen political awareness, find out about economic, living, security, and service conditions, and evaluate the organizational performance of the local leadership executive bodies (LLEBs) of the STC.
The body has commended the successful efforts of the teams in engaging with all segments of the Southern spectrum, as per the outlined plan, and the popular momentum emanated from their field visits to various areas and districts across the governorates of the South, which reflects the coalescing of the people of the South around their political leadership, led by President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi and the STC, to find urgent solutions and real remedies to the prevailing public situation.
During its meeting, the body reviewed the preliminary plan for the committee's meetings in the coming year of 2025, as well as the database and statistics related to the work of the committees, and identified the training and capacity-building needs of the members of the National Assembly and its members, and emphasized the importance of each committee submitting its annual report for 2024 by the specified deadline, as the overall annual report of the Assembly will be compiled based on these reports.
At the end of its meeting, the body discussed developments related to the political, economic, and service conditions in the South, in addition to reviewing and approving the minutes of its previous meeting.
