The General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) held its regular meeting today, Sunday, at its headquarters in the capital, Aden, headed by Mr. Mohammed Ahmed Haidara al-Shaqqi, Assistant Secretary-General of the Secretariat and coordination bodies in universities.
In its meeting, which was attended by Mr. Abdo Al-Naqeeb, Assistant Secretary-General, the Secretariat discussed the progress of work of the local leadership executive body (LLEB) of the capital, Aden, and the University of Aden Coordination Body, and listened to an explanation from Munif Al-Jifri, Director of the Organizational Administration in the LLEB of the capital, Aden, outlining the overall tasks, activities, and programs they have been implementing in Aden and across its various administrations and sections in the districts, as well as the major encountered challenges.
Dr. Yahya Shaif Al-Shuaibi, Head of the STC's coordination body at the University of Aden, presented a report detailing the activities of the body's work teams and the mechanisms in place to bolster the coordination's role and support the educational process across all its aspects at the university.
The meeting reviewed the latest political developments in the Southern scene during the first half of November 2024, with a focus on recent events in Hadhramaut Governorate, particularly in the Valley area, in addition to discussing the ongoing escalation by the Houthis on the borders of governorates of the South.
The meeting touched on the weekly activity reports of its various departments, which included the different activities of each department according to its jurisdiction, in addition to reviewing and approving the previous minutes.
