Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Chairman of the National Assembly, received today, Sunday, the final report of the liaison committee tasked with advocating rights and achieving demands of Hadhramaut, as the handover took place during his meeting with Muhammad Abdullah Al-Hamid, the committee's head.
Mr. Al-Kathiri listened to a comprehensive briefing on the committee’s activities and efforts since its founding and the understandings reached in its meetings held with the local authority, political components, social figures, and civil society organizations.
The Acting President of the STC lauded the efforts of the committee tasked with investigating the demands of Hadhramaut and its dedication to engaging with all segments of society across the entire governorate, from the Coast and Valley to the Desert and plateau, to come up with a realistic vision and action plan that addresses the needs of all citizens of the governorate.
Al-Kathiri has reiterated the uneavering support of the STC, led by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, for the demands of the people of Hadhramaut, as outlined in the action matrix produced by the committee, which prioritizes the people's demand for managing administrative, military, and security affairs of their governorate and to benefit from the revenues of their governorate’s resources to improve their living conditions and services.
At the end of the meeting, Al-Kathiri emphasized the need to exert maximum effort in safeguarding the governorate from sedition and protecting its social fabric, and standing with the Hadrami Elite Forces (HEF) in countering security challenges and thwarting of all plots aimed at plugging the governorate into chaos.
