President Al-Zubaidi Gets Briefed on Gas Company Efforts to Maintain Stable Supply in the Local Market

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met today, Monday, with Eng. Mohsen Wahit, Executive Director of the Yemen Gas Company.

President Al-Zubaidi listened to a satisfied explanation from Eng. Mohsen Wahit about the workflow in the gas company, its efforts to cover the local market with cooking gas, which is directly related to the lives of citizens, and the challenges facing the company in this aspect.

During the meeting, which was attended by Mr. Murad al-Halimi, head of the Economic and Service Commission of the STC, possible mechanisms were discussed to maintain the stable supply status of the cooking gas to the local market and to provide a strategic stock to meet the market's needs in the event of any challenges that may hinder the supply process from the refinery facilities.

President Al-Zubaidi lauded the efforts exerted by the gas company to cover the local market, stressing in the context the importance of making greater efforts during the upcoming period to maintain a stable supply status, to coordinate with local authorities, to control manipulation of prices and quantities by certain stations, and to prevent any illegal activities in this sector.

The meeting was attended by Eng. Mansour Al-Suraihi, Director of the Safer Department at the Yemeni Gas Company, and Mr. Emad Mohammed, Office Head of the Vice President of the PLC.
