President Al-Zubaidi Gets Briefed on Workflow of Aid Acceleration and Support

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met today, Sunday, with Dr. Afrah Al-Zouba, Managing Director of the Executive Bureau for the Acceleration of Aid Absorption and Support for Policy Reforms.

During the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi listened to Dr. Afrah Al-Zouba, who gave a satisfied explanation of the workflow, the tasks that have been finished since its restructuring, and the prominent obstacles that stand in the way of presenting projects that accommodate donor pledges.

President Al-Zubaidi was also briefed on the role of the Bureau in supporting state institutions to implement the reforms required by donors, raising the capabilities of employees through capacity-building programs, evaluating the work of ministries, and assisting them in making decisions.

In the same context, President Al-Zubaidi stressed the importance of intensifying efforts during the upcoming period and coordinating with the relevant authorities in the government to implement the required reform matrix, remove any obstacles that impede receiving pledges made by donors, and direct support to the economic, development, and productive sectors in a way that guarantees the achievement of maximum benefit to citizens and the provision of basic needs in a sustainable manner.
