President Al-Zubaidi Gets Briefed on Workflow of Lahej University

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met on Wednesday at his office in the capital, Aden, with Dr. Ahmed Mahdi Fudhail, Chancellor of the University of Lahej.

President Al-Zubaidi listened, from Dr. Fudhail, to a full explanation of the activities of the University and its affiliated colleges, in addition to the plans and programs for expanding academic specializations and founding new colleges while facing insufficient operational budgets, staff shortages, a lack of convenient facilities for academic studies, as well as the dilapidated infrastructure, part of which was damaged during the war.

President Al-Zubaidi asserted his support for the chancellorship of the University of Lahej in its efforts to expand the scientific sections and academic majors and to open market-related majors, stressing the importance of giving the Faculty of Agriculture more attention during the next stage as one of the leading and productive colleges since enhancing its activities will benefit the university itself and will reflect on the agricultural sector in general.

For his part, Dr. Fudhail expressed his sincere thanks to President Al-Zubaidi for his support and his directives to the STC's University Coordinating Affairs to contribute effectively in the process of restructuring the university and modernizing its academic specializations.
