President Al-Zubaidi Gets Briefed on Workflow of Military Negotiations Committee

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), met on Wednesday evening with the military committee concerned with the military aspect of the negotiations with the Houthi militia.

President Al-Zubaidi listened to a satisfied explanation from the head and members of the committee and its work mechanism in monitoring the violations of Houthi militia on all front lines, in addition to its communication mechanism with the UN envoy’s office, and details of the meetings that the committee held in the Jordanian capital, Amman, in late May of last year, 2022, within the framework of the Military Coordination Committee that was chaired by the military advisor to the UN envoy for de-escalation.

The president was, too, briefed on the level of readiness of the committee to carry out the assigned military tasks in the next stage of negotiations aimed at reaching a permanent truce and cease-fire in preparation for a lasting peace process. In this respect, President Al-Zubaidi gave directives to the committee to prepare an action plan that keeps pace with the changes of the stage to perfectly implement the entrusted tasks.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Imad Mohammed, office director of the Vice-Chairman of the PLC.
