President Al-Zubaidi Congratulates Women on International Women's Day

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), congratulated women of the South on the occasion of International Women’s Day (IWD), which is observed every year on March 8, 2023.

"We would like to take this opportunity to express how proud we are to have such great women in our country." The president posted on Twitter.

The President Al-Zubaidi emphasized that "The genuine Southern women have always been pioneers and leaders in the fields of struggle and arenas of science and knowledge," adding that "the history testifies to their active engagement and participation in making change out of their belief in this country and their contribution to its renaissance, progress, and prosperity."

In his words, the president asserted, "Today, we look with pride at the struggle of Southern women during their tireless efforts to restore the fragrant glow of a bright and brilliant past that reproduces glory and leadership from the honourable image of our mothers in the early stages of 14th October Revolution."

"Last but not least, we affirm our support for all the actions that Southern women undertake to restore their rights and build their glory, which is nothing but an extension of the glory and rights of our great Southern people." President Al-Zubaidi added.
