President Al-Zubaidi Chairs Expanded Meeting of Military and Security Commanders of the South

President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zoubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, and Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), chaired today, Thursday, an expanded meeting of military commanders and top security officers of the South.

At the start of the meeting, attended by senior officials of the STC, including Mr. Ali Al-Kathiri, Chairman of the National Assembly, and Major General Kamal Hamshari, a member of the Presidium of the STC and Acting Secretary-General, President Al-Zubaidi extended greetings to the heroes steadfast in the fields of honour and valour and congratulated them on the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan.

The President also pointed out that all the achievements made on both the security and military levels were made possible due to the ultimate sacrifices and tireless efforts of heroes of the Southern Armed Forces, who gave their precious souls and pure blood in defense of the South and the protection of its security and stability, affirming that these sacrifices would remain a source of pride and honour and a driving force to continue working toward building a robust and modern Southern army.

President Al-Zubaidi reiterated that the Southern Armed Forces are the safety valve and impregnable fortress of the South in confronting risks and challenges, underscored the imperative to strengthen their capabilities and bolster their readiness, ensuring the protection of hard-won national gains, and defending the rights of the people of the South and legitimate aspirations.

The President then listened to a comprehensive explanation from the commanders and leaders of the brigades and military and security units about the level of qualification and training of the forces and services and the level of readiness and well-organized efficiency they have reached, according to the restructuring process that included all military and security units, in addition to plans and strategies aimed at raising the level of coordination between the various units to strengthen the state of security and stability in line with the designated tasks and responsibilities of each unit.

At the end of the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to promote military and security capabilities and maintain military discipline and order to ensure the building of a robust military and security institution capable of protecting the South and its hard-won national gains.
